The Schmidt Edelux Upside Down version uses the B&M IQ Tec mirror which projects a beam not quite as wide as the IQ Tec P mirror now used on the Edelux II, but it is still more than adequate in brightness and coverage. The rear facing LED in the Edelux lights reflects off a mirror which projects a focused beam onto the road. The mounting arm on the upside down version is on the top of the light for easier installation in some situations....such as under the front rack platform. The light comes with coaxial wire attached but no connectors. No provision for a wired tail light on the upside down version.
