Most of the spools we carry are useful for storing one line, completely rigged with tippet and fly attached. The Keeper carries two fully rigged lines - one on either side. The rubber core catches line securely between two walls and prevents unspooling no matter where you pause winding or unwinding - no need to tuck the tail in any particular spot. In addition, the front of the The Keeper features a small fly compartment with space for at least a half-dozen flies. Two inner holes of varying size allow The Keeper to be carried on the blank or handle segment of your rod for easy transport. Pinch the spool by the small dimple in the center to quickly strip line from the spool.
