This is the chain tensioner you want for Surly's new horizontal 12mm thru-axle dropouts found on the new Karate Monkey, Krampus, Troll, Ogre, ECR and Wednesday. It allows precise wheel position and chain tension adjustment when running a thru-axle hub. If you are using a quick-release hub with the 10/12mm adaptor washers (stock configuration on the 2017 Troll and Ogre) you'll want to use the Tuggnut.
