If you've been dreaming of riding in control and comfort over all manner of terrain, Soma's Dream Riser Bar is worth waking up for! Designed to mimic the shape of classic early 80s MTB bars but with modern dimensions, these are a great fit for your bikepacking or dirt touring rig. They're equally at home on a trail bike or city rider - any bike where a little extra rise and sweep are called for.
The Dream Bar features a generous 780mm width for plenty of leverage, adequate rise for comfort without being too upright and ideal backsweep for wrist support while still allowing an "elbows out" riding position. If the full width is a little much for your taste they can always be cut down. They also have a wide, untapered center clamp section, providing 5 inches of untapered real estate for attaching your bags, lights, etc. The ample rise also cleans up clean cable routing and helps eliminate interference with brake or shift levers when using this bar with bikepacking-style handlebar bags such as Revelate's Sweetroll.
This is also one of our favorite bars to pair with Road Runner's Jumbo Jammer or Middle Earth Jammer. These roomy, top-loading handlebar bags need a nice, wide handlebar and work like a treat on the Dream Riser! See photos above.
