The Coronado is one of our favorite all-around plus size tires, striking a great balance of efficiency, traction and durability. They're especially great for sandy terrain but still roll quickly on the tamer stretches of your route. The corner knobs offer the bite you need to hold a line on singletrack or climb out of a rut but won't squirm excessively when cornering on pavement or hardpack.
We carry the Light and Supple version of these tires for when extra sidewall protection isn’t necessary, you want to decrease weight and speed up your ride. The sidewalls are quite light and thin - significantly more prone to sidewall damage than the Light/Supple version with a full wrap of black rubber. The Durable casings are reinforced for extra peace of mind on expedition-style trips or for those who tend to go sideways into sharp things.
Light & Supple
When extra puncture protection isn’t necessary, our light and supple casing offers decreased weight and a comfortable, ultra-supple ride quality at lower pressures when set up tubeless.
Durable Bead-to-Bead
This construction consists of a robust woven nylon composite reinforcement between the outer rubber and the inner casing within the tire’s sidewalls to prevent tearing and abrasions. Additionally, a tightly woven layer of protection under the treadcap defends against punctures.​
