If you want to run a traditional chainstay-mounted kickstand on your Long Haul or Disc Trucker you need these plates to reduce the chance of damage to your frame. They'll sandwich your stays in safety and comfort while you snug down the bolt securing the kickstand of your choice. Please keep in mind that a kickstand (especially the single leg type) can be under very large loads when supporting a loaded bike. Use care and caution to prevent damage to your bike or gear. Kickstands are not to be used to support live cargo.
