This is a simple light mount from Problem Solvers for mounting a headlight on your front rack. It works great on Surly's front racks and many others with vertical M5 threaded bosses and allows attachment of any headlight that would otherwise mount on the handlebar.
Rack mounting is ideal for a headlight as the lower placement (vs helmet or handlebar mounting) moves the light farther from the axis of your vision. This helps deliver better definition in the terrain, keeps the light lower to prevent blinding oncoming traffic and helps eliminate tire shadow.
