This smaller, more streamlined version of the excellent Ortlieb Bikepacking Handlebar Pack is perfect for minimalist packers, bikes with limited tire clearance or drop-bar bikes that require a narrower handlebar roll. This bag features the same rock-solid attachment and compression system but is almost half the size of its voluminous sibling with 9L of capacity compared to 15L.
When rolled three times on each side, the small handlebar pack measures ~42cm across, making it narrow enough to fit between the brake levers on many drop-bar bikes. At only 6.3 inches (16cm) in diameter, the bag will be a good fit for bikes with large wheels, low handlebars and/or suspension forks. The small handlebar pack is ideal for light and fast multi-day travelers.
The polyurethane-coated nylon material is put together using 3D welded seams for the best weather protection and superior durability. The double strap system results in a very tight and secure connection to the bars, and four foam spacers are included to create space between the bag and bars.
The bag is designed to mount the handlebars from underneath cables and housing to keep housing from kinking. When mounting above a suspension fork test tire clearance with fork fully compressed. At least 8" of space between tire and bars when fork is compressed is required.
