Crank Sets

(A crank is) "the arm which connects the pedal to the bottom bracket axle. Sometimes called a "crank arm", but this is redundant and inelegant. Call it a crank, or call it an arm, but please don't call it a "crank arm"

At a minimum, a "crankset" consists of the two cranks, the chainwheel(s), and the stack bolts that hold the chainwheels to the cranks. In some cases, it also includes the bottom bracket axle and bearing assembly".
