The Grappler is Surly's dedicated drop bar trail bike, built to provide a comfortable and confident riding position with curly bar contact points. This is one of the mountain bikey-est drop bar bikes you're likely to find and it's great fun. Spice up your daily trail rides, mix in some dirt roads or even pavement, take it out for an overnight or multi-day ride. The Grappler is a fun, versatile option for folks who want to do a little bit of everything on big tires and drop bars.
- 100% Surly Chromoly steel frame and fork, featuring Surly’s proprietary ’Natch tubing, double-butted main triangle, 1-1/8” headtube, non-suspension corrected
- Horizontal dropout with vertical exit, Surly Gnot-Boost spacing (12x148 or 12x142mm rear, 15x110mm front)
- Seatstay-mounted bottle bosses, plus three-pack mounts at the top and bottom of the down tube, bottle cage mounts on seat tube, and internal dropper post routing through seat tube
- E.D. coated frame for increased life expectancy
- 27.5 x 2.8” tire clearance (with or without fenders)
