Product Overview
The Grappler is Surly's dedicated drop-bar off-road bike, built to carry you and your gear over all manner of unpaved terrain. It's also no slug on the pavement, so this bike can certainly be the one to rule them all for many riders. It's the trail rider's drop bar bike. It's the gravel rider's mountain bike. It'll get you around town or carry you deep into the woods. It's great fun for anyone who likes the hand/body positions afforded by drop bars but doesn't want to be underbiking when the terrain gets nasty.
Find (or have us build you) a 27.5+ or skinny 29er wheelset, get hold of a 1x something drivetrain kit, decide what shift/brake situation you want and you're off. No weird standards to worry about. Tall head tube so you're comfy. Get in the hooks and get shreddy. You'll love it.
