As of today, Bike Touring News will no longer offer in-person retail services. This is not a decision that has been made lightly and is the result of a culmination of factors including market forces, simple finances and personal realities.
The business will be downsizing drastically, moving out of the Garden Center location and into a smaller shop where the focus will be on bike builds, handbuilt wheels, dynamo lighting and general service/repair with some e-commerce component. There will be no open hours or retail shopping. There will be no factory-built bikes. There will be a focus on quality, detail and craft. Watch this space and BTN's Instagram for updates on the new model.
I (Ryan) want to be clear that I'm not going anywhere and will continue to serve the customers that have supported this shop over the years (and hopefully new ones too!) to the best of my ability, just from a slightly different angle. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding in the past, present and future.
