Keep it simple, make it work! The Periphery™ Pocket answers the call when you need a bit more storage up front, providing easy access to maps, snacks, camera, gloves or anything else you want close at hand. It's designed to be brutally simple, functional and durable. Constructed with only two fabric panels, seams are minimized to increase durability and weather resistance. Zipper-free roll down closure provides variable volume and years of getting out there and dirty. A strip of hook-and-loop keeps the roll down section in place while you secure the main buckle and prevents the bag from unrolling even if the strap isn't cinched super tight. The hook closure loops and strap feature a urethane coated webbing which will not wear, loose shape, or absorb moisture or grit.
The Periphery is curved to match the contour of your handlebar roll, allowing easy access to the contents even when wrapped around a small Sweetroll or minimal dry bag. When fully rolled down it serves as a compact and sleek add-on. Expanded it can hold your bundle of avocados when the need arises. A fiberglass stay along the back panel keeps the mounting points stable and separated. The stay also prevents the bag from buckling when stuff is shoved between the pocket and main bag. A set of D-rings enable use of a shoulder strap for off-bike travels.
NOTE: While it is a roll-top closure, this bag is not 100% waterproof. The materials will not absorb water but the seams will eventually soak through if exposed to extended wet conditions. Get the Egress pocket if waterproof construction is desired.
