40mm stainless fenders. Review period: 2300 miles. These fenders work well to keep water off rider & bottom bracket, esp. with mud flaps attached. They are not true when new, as delivered. Laid on their sides on a flat table, they are obviously not straight. The rear definitely needs two stays (extras can be purchased). Without a second stay, the r.fender wiggles, which will cause cracks eventually. Wrap-over stays (vs under the fender) make it channel water out better. Mine rattled loose repeatedly with rubber washer/grommets. Thick leather washers fixed that. Biggest drawback: no safety release on front. Would not purchase again for this reason alone. SKS, SOMA, Blackburn, & Planet Bike all offer models with safety release.
