Berthoud's leather saddles can last a lifetime if properly maintained. Gilles Berthoud's saddle conditioner helps keeps the leather supple as it is specially formulated from natural ingredients to condition, preserve and waterproof saddles.
A new saddle should be treated to help protect your Gilles Berthoud from exposure to sun and rain. Work the leather treatment into the underside of the saddle, especially in the seating area. Reapply as needed if your saddle appears dry underneath or if small cracks develop in the top, especially around the bolts and washers (or rivets on other brands of saddle).
