Forget this rack if you have to use the included U bolt to mount it to the bicycle fork. At the extreme limit of the adjustment (in an attempt to keep the top as close to horizontal as possible) the fork is positioned directly in front of the rear peg. This means the pannier clip has to be positioned in front of the fork. This is no problem if the outside distance on the pannier clips is less than 4 1/2 inches. They may exist but I have yet to see a front pannier with that small a clip spacing. So in order to make room for the pannier clip one has to rotate the whole rack and the then the angle becomes unsafe to hold one's pannier. Otherwise well built, but poorly engineered to use the U bolt.
